Atlas, the great Titan, held up the sky as a punishment by the god Zeus. Hercules, a strong hero, had to get three golden apples. The daughters of Atlas looked after the tree of golden apples, so Hercules held up the sky for Atlas so he could get three golden apples for him. Atlas returned with the apples but told Hercules he could keep the sky. Hercules was angry that he had been tricked. But he stayed calm and found a way to trick Atlas into lifting the sky again.
